County government offices temporary limiting access
Due to a surge in COVID-19 cases in the region, Monroe County is once again limiting access to its government offices.
While officials say the county will remain open, it will limit access to provide essential services. At the beginning of pandemic in March, the county closed its offices to the public except by appointment.
Once again, the county is asking the public to call ahead and schedule appointments to ensure a safe environment for its employees and the public.
Those who need to visit county offices should first call ahead or email to see if their question or service can be provided remotely. Only the person that has business with the county should attend appointments.
All residents needing to drop mail or make payments may use the drop boxes located outside county buildings.
Face coverings covering nose and mouth are required in most County buildings.
For more information on a specific area of responsibility and county department, procedures, visitation restrictions, and guidance are available on the county website at http://www.co.monroe.wi.us/.
