DR. STEVEN J. “DOC” DOLL
January 21, 1950—June 7, 2018
TOMAH - Dr. Steven J. “Doc” Doll, age 68, of Tomah, Wisconsin, died unexpectedly Thursday, June 7, 2018.
He was born January 21, 1950, to Robert John Doll and Phyllis Ann (Doll) Mullarkey. Steve was united in marriage to Frances White on September 5, 1970.
He graduated from University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1975. Following graduation they moved to Tomah where he served the Monroe County area as a veterinarian until his retirement in January of 2016.
He is survived by his wife, Francie; his children, Laura (Ian) Holloway of Tomah, WI and Jason (Jaime) Doll of West Bend, WI; grandchildren, Payton and Parker Holloway, Christian, Jaidon and Sydney Doll; his sisters, Janet (Wayne) Wichman and Karen (Joe) DiModica; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert John Doll, Phyllis Ann Mullarkey; and step-father, Donald E. Mullarkey.
Steve had a soft spot in his heart for his grandchildren. He looked forward to their sporting events and spending time with them. Steve enjoyed volunteering and serving his community in the following organizations: Tomah Lions Club, Monroe County Ag Society, Tomah Parks and Rec, City Planning Commission and Tomah Youth Hockey as a coach and Zamboni driver.
The Torkelson Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made out to the “Dr. Steve Doll Memorial”, 2202 McAdams Drive, Tomah, WI 54660. Funds will be appropriated to the Monroe County Youth Fair 4H Projects.
A celebration of Steve’s life is being planned for Saturday, June 30, from 2-5 p.m., at the Tomah Fairgrounds Recreation (Gold) building.
