RUTH E. LOVELAND

MARSHFIELD - Ruth E. Loveland, 98, Marshfield, passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at Atrium Post Acute Care, Marshfield.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. today, Monday, April 9, 2018, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Marshfield, where the visitation was from 9:00 a.m. on Monday until service time. Rev. Savarimuthu Selvaraj and Deacon Ray Draeger officiated. Burial took place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery and grandsons served as pallbearers.

Ruth was born on December 16, 1919, in Thorp, to Melvin and Mayme (Deauchamp) Parkhill and moved to Marshfield at the age of two. She was a 1937 graduate of McKinley High School. She married Jack Loveland on August 16, 1940, in Marshfield. He died on January 19, 1983.
Ruth had been employed at McClellan’s Dime Store, Figi’s, and she retired from Mid-State Truck Service in 1988. She also worked for the City of Marshfield Voting Polls and volunteered for the Red Cross Bloodmobile. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish Council of Catholic Women and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, crafts, bingo, and cards.
Ruth is survived by her children, Thomas (Mary) Loveland of Sparta, John (Corrine) Loveland of Wausau, Mike (Chery) Loveland of Auburndale and Jeff (Pamela) Loveland of Marshfield. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Steve Loveland, Bryan (Vicky) Loveland, Heather (Trent) Schmitt, Shane (Carol) Loveland, Christopher (Robin) Loveland, Mark (Aly) Loveland and Lori (Tony) Gerner; and three step grandchildren, Anne (Jason) Jandl, Ara (Tracy) Metz and Alana Metz. She is further survived 14 great-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband Jack; and a sister, Josephine Dohm.
The family would like to thank the staff at Atrium Post Acute Care for all the wonderful care Ruth received.
Memorials may be designated in Ruth’s name to the Hannah Center or the Marshfield Area Pet Shelter.
