Bangor Fun Daze Fun Run draws more than 100 competitors
The weather was nearly perfect for a race, as more than 100 runners competed in and finished the Bangor Fun Daze Run-Walk in Bangor Village Park over the weekend.
Bangor’s Kasey Miller was the top finisher in the women’s 5K run held Saturday morning, capturing first with a top time of 23:10, while Jacob Bryhn of Mindoro won the men’s 5K in 17:52.
In the 10K race, also held Saturday morning, Schuyler Moore of Bloomington, Minnesota, came in first in the men’s division with a top time of 44:12, while Rebecca Nuttleman of Rockland was not far behind with a time of 49:46 to finish first in the women’s division.
5K Division Results
In the male 5K race, Ben Grandall of Cashton turned in a time of 23:36 to finish first in the age 11 and under division, while Bangor’s Isaac Bachmann won the age 12-17 division with a time of 19:02.
Bryhn took first in the age 18-29 division in 17:52, Justin Stakston of La Crosse won the age 30-39 race in 18:12 and Steve Keivel turned in a time of 25:02 to win the age 40-49 division.
In the age 50-59, Bangor’s Todd Miller finished first with a top time of 30:04, while Mike Callan of Coon Valley finished the race in 26:59 to earn first in the 60-69 age group.
Cashton’s Isabell Korn won the female age 11 and under 5K in 27:58, while Lydia Korn of Cashton turned in a time of 24:10 to finish first in the age 12-17 division.
In the age 18-29 division, Kasey Miller was the winner in 23:10, while Kelly Callan of Coon Valley finished first in the age 30-39 division in 26:59.
Norwalk’s Sue Schmitz won the age 40-49 division in 28:04, Carlene Ulrich of La Crosse earned first in the age 50-59 division and Bangor’s Deb Craig topped the age 60-69 division with a top time of 42:33.
10K Division Results
Nolan Langrehr of Rockland turned in a stellar time of 49:32 to win the 10K male age 11 and under race, while Moore took first in the age 18-29 division in 44:12.
Matthew Koel of Onalaska turned in a time of 49:25 to win the age 30-39 division, while Mike Langrehr of Bangor took first in the age 40-49 division in 46:36.
Dale Grabhorn of Rockland was the age 50-59 winner with a time of 44:17, while Mindoro’s John Meyer won the age 60-69 division in 52:11.
There were no finishers in the male age 12-17 division.
In the female age 18-29 division, Nuttleman came out on top in 49:46, while Amanda Mathison of Bangor and Megan Brier of West Salem both finished the race in 58:11 to tie for first in the age 30-39 division.
There were no finishers in the other female age divisions.
